Sky Chair Rides at Snow Summit

During the summer months, Snow Summit transforms one of its two high-speed quads, the East Mountain Express into the Scenic Sky Chair. The chair lift speed is significantly reduced (lift can be stopped completely for loading and unloading upon request) to allow guests of all ages to truly enjoy the natural beauty of Big Bear Lake and the surrounding area. It makes visiting Big Bear on your vacation truly a sight for the eyes!

The Snow Summit Scenic Sky Chair takes about 15 minutes to transport guests from the base elevation of 7,000 feet to a summit elevation of 8,200 feet.  If you're feeling adventurous, turn your sightseeing trip into a short hike and take one of the many trails down the mountain, or just hop back on the Sky Chair for the peaceful ride down. Either way, you will enjoy spectacular views of Big Bear Lake and the entire valley. This is a must do, and we strongly recommend you hike down to get the most enjoyment of the view... and well, some exercise.
