Water Sports In Big Bear

If you can do it behind a boat, you can do it in the lake!  From jet ski rentals in Big Bear to wakeboarding, wake skating, water skiing, air chair,  tubing or the classic wave runners you can have fun in the sun on the water.  Big Bear Lake has become known as the place in the summer to go where there are no crowds and whether you own your own and tow it along, or you just want to go for a couple of hours, the marinas around the lake can give you a great time.

Renting Wave Runners and Jet Skis in Big Bear seem to be the rage.  The thrill of speed coupled with the splash from the water make this summer fun another must do.  You need a drivers license and must be 18 to rent. 

For more aggressive water action wake boarding and water skiing on Big Bear are the crowd pleasers.  The water is relatively calm so the ride is as smooth as silk.   Water skiing has always been one of the more popular lake sports, but be advised, wetsuits are welcome.  The water is melted snow!

That being said, it is still a lot of fun.  Plus, boating facilities stay open three seasons long, spring through autumn. With all this fun in the water, swimming in Big Bear is discouraged except at special beaches.

The latest rage is the Cable Park at Big Bear. Here you can learn to wake board, work on your tricks and moves, and learn why Big Bear is such a hot place to come wake boarding... all without having a boat!  That's right, no boat. For those who appreciate a little quieter time on the water, you can rent paddle boards, canoes and kayaks and pontoon boats to paddle your arms into oblivion.
