Mt. Rose Ski Resort
This great resort is actually in Reno, Nevada, but much closer
to Incline Village than Downtown Reno. Mt. Rose has opened up both sides of the
mountain to boarders, and they offer ski lessons to people of all ages
and disabilities with state of the art adaptive equipment. They
help people polish boarding skills with areas groomed by a sophisticated “scorpion”. There’s
lots of room on the Mt. Rose side for skiers to run trails, as well
as two terrain parks and a halfpipe. The East Bowl side is preferred by
intermediate and advanced boarders who want long runs or want to try
their skills on any of three terrain parks or the half pipe.
Mt. Rose is located near
Diamond Peak resort as well. If you're going to make
reservations you'll want to get an
Incline Village vacation rental condo or home in the town or
stay at one of the many
Incline Village Hotels very close by.
From Tahoe's highest base (elevation 8,260'), you will fly down 1,800 vertical
feet in 3.5 minutes. What do you see along the way Breathtaking views of Lake Tahoe
and Nevada. Your adventure is on the over
1,200 acres on
great groomed and ungroomed and powder snow .
Recently the
Mt. Rose ski area opened "The Chutes" which has elevated the skiing and riding
of this hidden paradise. Plan a day or two on your next visit to Tahoe.
