Northstar Ski Resort
Northstar is one of the most progressive snowboarding
areas around. Management
emphasizes grooming and “innovative park creations” and proudly
points to the fact that they are “open from top to bottom 2280 continuous
feet” thanks to a new snowmaking system. They actively work to
improve features and are in the process of completing huge innovations,
but also consider their mountain a family destination. Northstar offers
comfortable mid range challenges with 75% easy or moderate skiing,
and their new children’s ski and snowboard school, plus child care and
minors camp. The convenient Northstar Village makes this one of
the
most popular reservation spots on the North Lake Tahoe area. You'll

in the Village area, or in Truckee.
Northstar Village in
the town of Truckee, boasts sophisticated, western architecture,
shops, lodging and restaurants galore. There’s
a 9000 ft skating rink, and plans for building 7 structures
full of restaurants, boutiques and play areas and luxury
condos continue. Currently,
there’s
fine dining at restaurants like the elegant Timbercreck
and casual dining, and shops include apparel, kids, gifts
and galleries, not to mention equipment rentals.
In the Northstar Village there are movie theaters,
ice rink, and plenty of places to have your
Après-ski. There is a shuttle system that will
take your from your condos to the ski resort
area, Village and select destinations within
the massive Northstar development.

It is almost a misnomer to call Northstar a ski
resort as they have several golf course as well. The golf
course is an 18 hole, par 72 course that will appeal to
all levels of players. Set amidst the mountain environment,
the Robert Muir Graves designed course is rated 72.4 from
the Northern California Golf Associate. The fairways are lined with local
trees, and require a certain amount of skill to get the ball up onto the
