Mammoth has so many things to do both in winter and summer. Here is the complete list of available trips so you can plan the perfect vacation.
Gondola Ride - Ride the Mammoth Mountain Gondola to the top, elevation 11. 053 and see the amazing view
Alabama Hills - See where all the Spaghetti Western Movies were made
Ansel Adams Wilderness - Visit the forest area
Bennetville Mining - Another silver mine, resorted so you can get a tast of 1881 history
Bodie Ghost Town - At the height of the gold rush, Bodie was the 2nd largest silver mining camp and the residents just got up and left one day.
Bristlecone Pine Forest - The oldest know trees. The forest service runs an interpretive center here for nature lovers
Death Valley - A bit more than a day trip. This is the lowest point of land on the continental US
Fall Colors - In autumn, the trees turn fire colors. This is a great outdoor drive to visit the different areas
Devils Postpile - The most faous landmark in the Mammoth area
Goelogy Driving Tour - See the various geology left after the Mammoth volcano exploded
Fish Hatcheries - The lakes of Mammoth are stocked. Here is where we grow the fish.
Hot Springs - Very popular place to see where the water heated by Mammoth lava boils us and mixes with melted snow and you can swim in it.

June Lake Loop - Our neighbor June Lake has a few lakes of its own. You can swim or fish or even water ski.
Mammoth Lakes Basin - We have 6 lakes you can fish in and get to by car. The rest... you have to hike.
Lodgepole Forest - These are the giant trees in the Sequioa Forest, via a drive through Yosemite.
Lone Pine - You probably drove through Lone Pine on your way to Mammoth. Here is what you can do if you wish to detour.
Manzanar Interment Camp - Back in the day when Japanese were held captives, Manzanar has an amazing historic and cultural museum
Mt. Whitney - Located in Lone Pine, Mt. Whitney is the tallest of all US mountains. The drive up to the trail head is an awesome site
Mono Lake - A popular tour to see the lake and the strange limestone sculptures that grow out of the water.
Museum Tour - There are a lot of small museumes to visit up and down Highway 395
Obsidian Dome - A glass mountain was formed when the earth exploded and the local mountais were created
