Volcolm Brothers Skate Park
After nearly two years in the making,the Volcom Brothers Skatepark officially
opened in 2006. This park rocks! Seriously, there are really rocks to skate -
super-smooth concrete right up to the boulders. here's also a giant cradle,a Burnside
wall, lumps, humps, a big'ol bowl, a love seat wall, plus zillions of different
transfers and trannies, too. It's truly Epic!For more information call Mammoth

SHADY REST
Shady Rest park is perfect for riding bikes, an afternoon picnic,
softball, soccer, skateboarding, throwing the Frisbee, or just lying
on the grass and enjoying the view. The park has all amenities including
bathrooms, pay phones, a concession stand, and a children's playground.
BBQ pits and shelter can be reserved for groups. Contact the Parks
& Recreation Office for more information, 760-934-8983. The Shady
Rest Park is located approximately one-half mile from Highway 203,
near the Shady Rest Campground and the United States Forest Service
building. As a reminder, Please Don't Feed Our Bears.
MAMMOTH CREEK PARK
Mammoth Creek Park is designed for the children. With slides, ladders, and a swing set, this park is the perfect place for a family picnic. The park has bathrooms, picnic tables, pay phones, and a quiet area near the Mammoth Creek. Mammoth Creek Park is located on Old Mammoth Road.
THE COMMUNITY CENTER
Tennis, tennis, tennis! The Community Center has newly resurfaced
tennis courts. This
public facility
has a total of six courts, picnic benches, plenty of shade,
and lessons are available. The Community Center is located on Forest
Trail, adjacent to the Mono County Library.
WHITMORE RECREATION AREA
Whitmore is located 10 miles south of town off U.S. 395 on Benton
Crossing Road (left at the green church). Whitmore Recreation Area
has two softball fields, a regulation baseball field, restrooms
and lights for night games.
The Whitmore swimming pool is located across from the ball fields.
The outdoor pool has a gorgeous view of the Eastern Sierra and White
Mountain ranges. The facility includes a six lane 25 meter pool,
children's wading pool, restrooms, hot showers, lawn area, BBQ and
vending machines. The pool is staffed by Red Cross-certified lifeguards
and is open June through early September. Both the fields and the
pool are located ten miles south of Mammoth Lakes on Benton Crossing
Road. These facilities are available for private use by reservation
