River. The local Rock Creek campgrounds are
show with the red markers. Click the map to get the bigger view. Just to the north is Whitmore Hot Springs and Hot
Creek geological site home of the most visited natural hot springs. To the
south of this trout filled lake is the Rock
Creek forest which ends at the Mosquito
Flats Trail head. Very appropriately named!
Visitors who are going to fish in Crowley Lake usually have their accommodations in Mammoth Lakes. They'll either fish at Crowley or go out to Rock Creek, which is also very beautiful esecially in the fall. Along they way, they make a stop at the Rock Creek Lodge and get a piece of pie from Sue, our local pie maker. Go early, the pie goes fast...
