Tire Chain Designations

In the winter months you must carry tire chains or have a 4WD vehicle with mud / snow tires at all times. These are the road condition designations and what they mean
R1 - Tire Traction device or snow tires required on all vehicles
R2 - Tire Traction devices on all vehicles except 4WD with snow tires
R3 – Tire Traction device on ALL vehicles
