4th of July in Mammoth

Live music, artists and local exhibitors begin throughout town on Thursday, July 2 and conclude on Sunday, July 5, 2009. Visit The Village for the Great American 4th of July celebration beginning Thursday, July 2, with a Fireworks display on Friday, July 3. A pedestrian/bike corridor will be in place on the east bound lane of the South Frontage Road from July 3 – 5, allowing for a huge summer Celebration: “Main Street Midway” hosted by Main Street business owners.
Footloose Freedom Mile & POPS in the Park
Run in the Footloose Freedom Mile on July 4 and support a great cause. The race starts at 10:10 a.m. near the corner of Old Mammoth & Minaret Roads finishing at Footloose Sports. Proceeds benefit Disabled Sports Eastern Sierra, High Sierra Striders and the Mammoth Track Project.
Put your feet up at Mammoth Creek Park after the July 4 Parade and enjoy a live 45-piece orchestra playing patriotic and Hollywood favorites. This is a free concert hosted by our own Chamber Music Unbound.
4th of July Fireworks Show
This year's 4th of July Fireworks Show at Crowley Lake promises to be a bright and striking display of color. The show commences at dusk (@ 9:15 p.m.) and the music coordinated with the show will be broadcast live on KMMT/106.5. Live music featuring Milo & Chris of “Akoustik 2”, hot BBQ dinners and cool refreshments begin at 5:00 p.m. Admission is $25 per car, RV or truck, and only $5.00 for walk/ride-ins.
