Fall Colors Hit Mammoth Lakes

It is a beautiful time of year when the fall colors come to Mammoth and the Eastern Sierra. The weather has begun to cool off and the day light is starting to get a bit shorter. The peak viewing time is in October, right around the second week, however many of the canyons will change colors a bit earlier as they are protected from the sun and heat. If you want to see and experience "seasons" this is the time as Los Angeles and Southern California do not get this seasonal change, and if you're reading this, you may even be sweltering hot, without electricity or AC.
