The trails of Lake Tahoe you can find great trails and trail maps of the area at your local visitor center. Hiking is a great family activity for all levels. Trails in the Sierra mountains are rated beginner, intermediate and advanced so you can pick what is right for the family. We offer some great maps online to wet your appetitie, but nothing compares to the maps created by the various agencies that work closely with the forest service. When you arrive in town, make sure you stop by a visitor center, pick up a map, and ask which trails are the best for your adventure.
