Hometown Block Party July 4th Weekend

Mammoth is the place for a real hometown 4th of July celebration. This year the annual block party grows in size with both kids and adult activities. The kids will find carnival games, a petting zoo and more. The adults will get a beer garden (woo-hoo!) and live music to dance to. The following morning on the 4th wake up to the smell of the annual Lions Club Pancake breakfast. Order the Mickey pancakes for the kids!. Then comes the parade down Main Street and Old Mammoth Road. Bands, floats, City Council (the clowns...!), and our own Fire Department, who might just hose you down if it's hot. Then off to the art fair in the park. Later in the evening you will get treated to fireworks over Crowley Lake. It is the best show ever, and if you tune your radios, you might even get the music to go along with the display. You can park anywhere that is safe, but not along Highway 395. And as a reminder, there are no personal fireworks allowed in Mammoth Lakes whatsoever. Please don't bring them as we want to protect our forest from fires. Have fun.
