Jazz Jubilee Comes to Mammoth

The Jazz Jubilee in Mammoth is back again. July 9-12, 2009 This year there are over 25 bands playing and 4 different venues. From Dixieland and Blues, to Zydeco. Each year the Mammoth Jazz Festival continues on with a long heritage of playing different kinds of Jazz music. This is not soft wave R & B, but the real Jazz found in New Orleans. The festival is marked by different tents each with their own sound. Food, drinking, and a lot of camaraderie. Our favorite venue is the Grumpy's Tent hosted by Gregg Simas. They always get the hottest bands. You can purchase either a day or event pass at the gate. The schedule is changing, but if you're coming up to Mammoth for the Jazz Jubilee, then you will want to plan for the 4 days of fun. Each year the town of Mammoth fills for the event, so do book your lodging early.
