Night of Lights - December 20

The annual Mammoth Mountain Night of Lights festival of fireworks, skiers with roman candles, sparklers and music, music, music returns again. Each year the festival of lights gets bigger and this year we celebrate just in time for the holidays. It is our annual kick off on Saturday, December 20 but you have to be here to enjoy.
Based on past experience... the roof of Canyon Lodge is the idea viewing location for Night of Lights. The food and drink service have expanded and it has become a great place for adults and kids to get a ticket to go to the roof. Free seating is available right on the snow. While it doesn't matter whether you're on the roof or snow, the fireworks and candles can be seen everywhere but the roof gives that different perspective and you can see some of the shapes a little differently. It is very interesting to see the Mammoth Mountain slopes for a fireworks show.
This is an outdoor event so bring your hats, mittens and blankets. You're welcome to bring your fold out chairs to sit on the snow. As always, if you're going to 'party' please take the free transportation in town as roads can be slippery. Have fun, take pictures and send us some.
