Night of Lights

The Night of Lights returns to Mammoth on Saturday, December 17 at Canyon Lodge! This event that began almost two decades ago celebrates the magic of the holiday season with a winter lights show against the majestic backdrop of Mammoth's ski slopes. Guests of all ages are invited to ride the complimentary Village Gondola to Canyon Lodge where they can enjoy a fun-filled night complete with a firework show and torchlight parade! The start time is 5:00 PM. Be sure to bring your blankets, hot chocolates and mittens. Food and adult beverages will be available. Come early to get the best view.

View the show from the snow, or grab tickets to one of the VIP viewing areas for a premium perspective on the festivities. Stick around after the sights for the sounds of The Naked and Famous, whose blend of indie-pop is like a mix of MGMT and Passion Pit.
“The Night of Lights has always been a favorite of both Mammoth locals and longtime visitors. We love hosting this free event as a ‘thank you’ for the continued support by the community,” said Bill Cockroft, Senior Vice President of Mammoth Mountain. “We are thrilled to keep the Night of Lights tradition strong with new music acts and this year promises to be one that everyone will remember.”
The Night of Lights originated two decades ago as an annual celebration of winter in Mammoth Lakes.
Transportation:
- Village Gondola: Runs from The Village at Mammoth to Canyon Lodge and back until 10 p.m.
- Special Event Shuttle: Runs from The Village at Mammoth, the Eagle Lodge park-and-ride and the high school park-and-ride to Canyon Lodge from 5 p.m. to midnight.
