The Cabins, Mammoth Rentals

The Cabins at Crooked Pines Rentals at Mammoth The Cabins at Crooked Pines are a very secluded set of townhome / condos at Mammoth Mountain that sit in the forest and back up to the Sierra Star golf course. Always referred to as "The Cabins", this kind of rental property takes the place of what one might think of when they say they want to "rent a cabin at Mammoth Mountain." This is a top quality vacation rental with all the amenities. In summer you have vistas and views, and in winter you are tucked into the forest for a cozy warm evening.

There are no Mammoth Mountain cabin rentals. Why? The existing cabins that are dotted around Lake Mary are privately owned, were grandfathered in because they existed before Mammoth became a town, and sit on Forest Service land. There is no new construction allowed around any lake. Further in winter they get buried under the snow as the roads are not plowed and only cleared till the snow melts. That makes planning your vacation for summer difficult, because one never knows when they will be open. There is only one exception, that that would be the cabins at Twin Lakes near the Tamarack Cross Country / Outdoor Center. These cabins both old and renovated are open year round as the road to them is plowed. Because there are only 28 in Mammoth, they are hard to come by.

Taking the place of the missing cabins are more modern mountain designed structures that have all the creature comforts such as insulated walls, fireplaces, spas, underground parking, and what we like most of all, views of the forest, the Mammoth Valley, or the greenery of the golf course. At night, some of our cabins see all the city lights. Now that is mountain living.

The Cabins at Mammoth Mountain
These Mammoth Mountain cabin rentals come in both 2 bedroom and 3 bedroom sizes and sleep 6 or 8 people. They have modern kitchens so you can cook if you choose, they have plush linens and towels, and provide the best comfort around when you're looking to escape to the mountains. "The Cabins" are clustered together with space between each so that you can have some privacy.

The backyard is the forest and the fairway. The beauty of these cabins is in summer you can walk to the golf course to start a round in minutes, drive to downtown or the village in 2 minutes, or walk to the stop sign and catch the shuttle to Eagle Lodge to start skiing in winter. Location x 3.

There are also other properties that have cabin-esque features such as our infamous Cabins in the Sky from Timber Ridge. These cabins have walls of windows for the best views in Mammoth. We also have these fine properties in our luxury division that you might also want to explore the cabins at Eagle Run. Both are ski in out in winter, have great views, and have all the modern comforts.
