ROCK CREEK AREA CAMPGROUND INFO

Rock Creek is set at the foot of the Eastern Sierras off of Hwy 395. The various trail heads and campgrounds are deep into the canyon. This is a wonderful secluded place where the autumn trees turn colors long before the rest of the forest knows it's time. The most famous trail head is mosquito flats. There is also a snow park out along the lakes.

The Rock Creek campsites can be reserved online through the partnership the US Forest Service has with Reserve America. Clicking on a link in the campground list below will take you to the reservation page for that site. Sites without links are not reservable and are available on a first-come, first-served basis through the local visitors centers. Area map. Bring the whole family. Get them a room if they would not prefer sleeping under the stars.
