YOSEMITE CAMPGROUNDS

Yosemite National Park contains 13 popular campgrounds, of which up to 9 are on a reservation system. From April through September, reservations are essential and even the first-come, first-served sites often fill each morning from May through September. The Conditions Update may contain opening or closing dates, if they are currently available. Our dates listed are only a guideline. The links provided will allow you to book your campground online ahead of the crowds. You can also book a Yosemite hotel if campgrounds are not available or someone you love, doesn't enjoy sleeping under the stars.

Yosemite is neighbors to Mammoth. They share the same set of mountains with Yosemite on the west side of the Eastern Sierra Mountains and Mammoth on the East Side. The closest road to go from West to East, across Yosemite is the Tioga Pass Highway 120 which is closed in winter. A nice trip is to camp a few days in Yosemite and the stay in Mammoth. When you get to Mammoth, you can hike more, fish, and even camp by the old gold mine.
