Happy
New Year! January in Mammoth Lakes has a multitude of fun ways to celebrate
the holidays with snowplay, entertainment, and champagne all month long!
To start off, how about a New Year getaway to enjoy snowmobiling, skiing,
and riding on the slopes, or fine art galleries and shops. Then top it
off with a hot tub warm up and an evening of rollicking and dancing -
definitely a time to start creating great memories for 2006! We've listed
just a few teasers here. Be sure to go to our website www.CityConcierge.com
to see the entire list of cool January happenings. Furthermore, the long
Martin Luther King weekend is approaching and the winter storms are continuing
to bring a lot of cheer to skiers and riders. Mammoth Mountain is covered
in great snow - a 6-8 foot base with another 8" inches just this
week. Temperatures are warm, around 40 degrees during the day but that
fresh stuff is piling up from this week's forecasted storms! And remember,
you can reserve
your Footloose Sports ski gear online through our site so it is there
when you are! What a cool way to spend January! So when ya drivin' up?
Show
your stuff and learn even more! The Mountain is hosting the USASA sanctioned
boardercross and slopestyle events that are open to everyone. Registration
will be at the Main Lodge from 9:00-10:00am. Competition starts at 11:00am.
Entry fee is $10. (Lift ticket/pass required; USASA membership is required
and available at registration for a one-time fee.)
These
events will happen all throughout the season. Check out our activity
directory for more information each month. Hey gals, treat yourself
and join Mammoth's best female instructors in a ski
seminar just for you! They'll be your coach and pal as they help you
improve your slope style and skills. Enjoy breakfast, lunch, demo equipment,
nightly activities, new skiing friends, and personalized instruction all
included in one package price. For all ages at intermediate to expert
levels. MORE ACTIVITIES Build
