ACTIVITIES
AND EVENTS, June 2006
Even as the days warm
and the snows recede during this incredible past winter, you can still hit
the slopes on the Mountain. Go ahead, max out the fun, and wring out the
ski season all the way to July 4th this year! But for those of you who are
ready for summertime activities, Mammoth is way ahead of you with plenty
of recreational, cultural, family, and sporting events to experience, such
as a gondola ride to 11,000 feet, mountain biking a volcano, and dancing
in a meadow. The 2006 Fishing Season is in full swing! Many of the lakes
and streams at lower elevations are stocked and just waiting for that new
Father's Day fishing pole to cast a worm. The Nationally famous Mammoth
Mountain Motocross is happening mid-June, with events and races for the
whole family. The town's big Fourth of July celebration is just around the
corner, too. The hills are definitely alive with fun. So, remember to plan
and book your Mammoth Lakes vacation early. Weekends are filling up fast.
There are so many fun things to do up here, so be sure to go to our homepage
to see the entire list of June activities. So when ya drivin' up? .
