Summer is really happening in Mammoth. We are the best thing going, especially if you want to cool off from the heat of Southern California. August is busy with different activities happening almost every day. For kids there are skate camps, acting workshops, soccer camps and tennis, and for adults... well a lot of fun things. Hey anything is better than work. So when ya drivin' up?

BLUESAPALOOSA - BEER AND BLUES - AUGUST 5-6,2005
Coming Friday and Saturday, that's this week - August 5-6, 2005 is our annual Bluesapaloosa Festival. This blues and beer festival is another one of our great music events. The festival imports brewers from all over to create a wonderful beer garden of microbrews. There is music all over town in selected venues, and because it is summer, you have access to our great lakes basin, fishing, hiking and golf.Bluesapaloosa

The most current schedule of bands is listed here. Names such as Tommy Castro, Rod Piazza, Long John Hunter and more. Like all our music festivals you can buy a pass for the whole schabang that will get you in all the events.

Art ala Carte Wine and Art Festival - Saturday - Sunday, August 20-21, 2005
Art ala Carte, Mammoth August 20-12, 2005Every year visitors and friends collect in Mammoth Creek Park for the annual "Art ala Carte" festival. Featuring local artists, wine from California vineyards, and food from our own local restaurants. This year the park will fill with music and 15 different wineries featuring over 75 varieties of wine. The Mammoth Brewing Company will be serving its famous brew 3 different ways, and Chart House, Petras, Coco Locos, Lakanuki, Breakfast Club, and Ocean Harvest will fill your tummy with good eats. The event starts at 10:00AM with wine being poured at 11:00. The event runs till 5:00 PM and this year is sponsored by the Mammoth Community Foundation and the Town of Mammoth Lakes. The show is free and a wine glass to sample all the wine you can taste is $25.00. Come enjoy the park fun.
