It is such a shame that so many of the Southern California schools now start before Labor Day as there is quite a bit happening for the rest of us here in Mammoth. This month Mammoth kicks off with a very big Fish Festival. The Million Dollar Troutstock and the Labor Day Afts festival are just two of the big events this month. This is the first annual Fish Festival Grandiose!
This is a great 3 day weekend filled with activities that make the drive to Mammoth worth it.

The hook for this giant Fish Festival is the $1,000,000 Troutstock... which if you want to enter, you have to sign up! The Lakes Basin will be stocked with specially tagged trout. Free Concert: Lava Girls
As part of the fun Labor Day Festival, Nashville country recording artisits the Lava Girls will be giving a free concert on Sunday, September 5 at 6:00pm in The Village!

They are home grown from the Mammoth Eastern Sierra Area known as "Tom's Place." Erynn and Sara Lavagnino identical twins, were born in Bishop, California in the High Sierra Mountains. At the young age of 19 they moved to Nashville, Tennessee in hopes of furthering their career in the music business

36th Annual Labor Day Arts Festival
The Mammoth Art Guild celebrates art of fishing at the 36th Annual Labor Day Arts Festival on Saturday, Sunday and Monday at Sam's Wood Site in Mammoth. This is the Eastern Sierra's premier fine arts festival with over 110 artists traveling to Mammoth from all over the West to showcase their artwork.

For the kids, there will be clowns, and a puppet show. So come fishing for trout art at the Labor Day Festival, outdoors in the forest on Minaret Road, between Main Street and Meridian.. Just follow the signs!

NORBA - National Off Road Bicycle Association

Coming to Mammoth this September 15-18, 2005 are these trial for the national championships. This is great opportunity for both spectators and participants to come to Mammoth and have some fun, before ski season starts. Here are the details.
