Squaw Valley is the home of the 1960 winter Olympic Games and the Squaw Valley ski resort. The town is located just south of Truckee and right outside of Tahoe City. Alpine Meadows ski resort is right around the corner, and Northstar is just 15 minutes away in Truckee. Squaw Valley is also known as "Olympic Valley".
