Quality Inn in Mammoth Lakes does have a prime location next to famous John's Pizza Works and the Outlaw Bar. The Quality Inn is a cross between a motel and hotel as they don't offer full services with a restaurant and sundry shops, but do try and follow the Quality Inn standards. You will get a clean room, wi-fi, covered parking and right on the shuttle route to everywhere. With neighbor restaurants within walking distance, you'll have just about everything you need at a price that is very affordable for Mammoth. The new Mammoth Brew Pub is also just down the street so at this location, you may not have a lobby bar, but you got two bars on either side of the hotel.
The building and interiors have been recently remodeled bringing the once aging hotel up to today's standards. Quality Inn is one of the cheap places to stay in Mammoth. When accommodations in Mammoth aren't a big deal, and you're more interested in some skiing, mountain biking or fishing, then the price is right.
