4 Star
Big and luxurious, the Mammoth Westin is truly the only 5 star hotel in Mammoth, although the Sierra Nevada Lodge is trying to rival that rating! Rooms are all suites as this is not really a hotel, but a hotel made up of condominiums. The first floor of The Westin Monache in Mammoth has a wonderful lobby bar, the Whitebark Restaurant featuring a seasonal variety of upscale food, fitness center, pool, spa and meeting rooms. There is also a ski valet so you don't have to lug your gear to your room. Now that might be worth the price right there. The gondola to the slopes is also in the village and you can see it pass right by The Westin.
The property has one, two or three bedroom suites, and while it is typical for up to 4 people to stay in a one bedroom by putting the kids on a sleeper sofa, it is a much nicer stay if you can get a bigger room. The two bedrooms have much larger kitchens and a very nice layout. Done up in mountain luxury, you will get all the familiar Westin accouterments, in your petite but stylish rooms including the heavenly beds. The three bedroom places are few and far between with the studio, one bedroom and two bedrooms more popular and prolific. If you're looking for one of the larger places, when you see it, make your reservations immediately. Again, there are only a few available.
The Westin Monache is located in The Village at Mammoth and is also a pet friendly hotel. The views from the top floors are spectacular. Staying at The Westin means first class all the way and at times, first class may mean a few more "Benjamins" i.e. Benjamin Franklin, or $100 bills. Like other 5 star luxury rentals in Mammoth, having that gorgeous gondola ride to Canyon Lodge is what it is all about when staying here, and then you're just 75 steps away from all the village activities.
Surrounded by the spectacular Eastern Sierras, The Westin Monache Resort, Mammoth enjoys a prime location with stunning panoramic views of the mountains. The great outdoors beckons, while the gondola and village amenities are just steps away. World-class skiing and snowboarding are just the start: Mammoth Mountain offers year-round activities that refresh the soul, from mountain biking and hiking to golf, fishing, and more. Or reenergize and relax in our hot tubs and heated outdoor pool. Enjoy rustic mountain charm combined with modern comforts and residential conveniences in our 211 guest suites. Each features a gas fireplace, kitchen or kitchenette, and plush Heavenly Beds and many boast breathtaking mountain views.
